New Models Feature Powerful A18 Chip, Enhanced Camera System, and Apple Intelligence
On September 9, Apple announced the release of its latest smartphones: iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. These new models bring exciting innovations like the A18 chip, Camera Control for better photo and video capturing, the Action button for quick access to key functions, and a major improvement in battery life.
The iPhone 16 series is powered by Apple Intelligence, a new personal assistant system designed to simplify everyday tasks while protecting user privacy. Apple Intelligence uses advanced technology to understand users’ needs, offering helpful and personalized suggestions without compromising security. It will be available as a free software update starting next month.

Advanced Camera Features
The iPhone 16 lineup introduces Camera Control, which makes it easier to take professional-quality photos and videos. The 48-megapixel Fusion camera includes a 2x Telephoto option for clearer close-ups and a new Ultra-Wide camera that supports macro photography, perfect for capturing detailed shots of small objects.

Users can personalise their images with features like photographic styles by adjusting colours, highlights, and shadows. The iPhone 16 also allows users to capture videos with spatial audio for a more immersive experience.
Action Button and New Design
The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus also include a new Action button, which lets users quickly access important functions like the camera, flashlight, and more. The models come in five bold colours: black, white, pink, teal, and ultramarine, and feature a Super Retina XDR display that offers excellent picture quality.

The design of the new iPhone has been re-engineered to include a larger battery, delivering longer battery life. It also uses Ceramic Shield glass, which Apple says is 50% stronger than previous versions and is both water- and dust-resistant.
A18 Chip and Gaming Power
The A18 chip brings a huge improvement in performance, making the iPhone 16 perfect for demanding tasks like AAA gaming. With better graphics and battery efficiency, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus offer a smoother gaming experience than previous models.
Environmental Focus
Apple is committed to reducing its environmental impact, and the iPhone 16 reflects this with more than 30% recycled materials used in its construction, including 100% recycled cobalt in the battery. Apple aims to be fully carbon-neutral by 2030.
Pricing and Availability
The iPhone 16 starts at INR 79,900, and the iPhone 16 Plus starts at INR 89,900. Pre-orders will begin on Friday, September 13, with the phones becoming available in stores on September 20 in India and other countries.
