‘Fighter’ box office Day 9: Hrithik-Deepika’s film crosses Rs 150 crore

Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s ‘Fighter’ crossed Rs 150 crore as it nears 10 days of run-time at the box office. Helmed by Siddharth Anand, the film is an aerial actioner. Day 9 early estimates of ‘Fighter’ suggest that the film has full potential to amp up its box office figures on its second weekend after a big drop on Day 5.


‘Fighter’, which released on January 25, witnessed a great start during the Republic Day weekend.

However, despite a great opening, Siddharth Anand’s film saw a drop in collection on Day 5. On February 1, ‘Fighter’ earned Rs 6 crore with a total collection of Rs 146.50 as it wrapped the first weekend.

On Day 9, ‘Fighter’ is estimated to mint Rs 5.35 crore, taking the total collection of the film to Rs 151.85 crore. The film saw an overall occupancy of 13.59% in the Hindi belt.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, ‘Fighter’ is based on a story he co-wrote with Ramon Chibb. Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor play lead roles in the first installment of the aerial actioner.

Produced by Viacom18 Studios and Marflix Pictures, the film has references to the 2019 Pulwama attack, 2019 Balakot airstrike, and the 2019 India-Pakistan border clashes.
