IAF Chetak Helicopter Air-Lifts Senior Women from Zanskar Valley to Leh for Medical Care

Indian Airforce in an evacuation mission, air lift an elderly women from Zaskar to Leh.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) on Monday evacuated an elderly woman who was in a critical medical condition from a village in Ladakh’s Zanskar Valley to Leh for treatment.

“Today, an elderly woman in critical medical condition was airlifted from Shade village in Zanskar Valley to Leh #Ladakh for treatment by an #IAF helicopter,” announced HQ Western Air Command, IAF, on the X social media platform.

Earlier, an individual fell into the sea from a private vessel off the Mumbai coast on Saturday night, prompting an Indian Coast Guard ship to conduct a rescue operation. The operation, lasting about three hours, successfully saved the man’s life.

“The Indian Coast Guard Ship rescued a man in peril during the night of February 3, 24. ICG ship C439 swiftly responded to the call, saving a man who had fallen overboard from the private Yacht McGregor 6 off the Mumbai coast. The rescue mission lasted for three hours,” stated an ICG official. The rescued individual was reported to be stable and in good health. (ANI).
