The polls began at 7 am and are crucial in determining the next set of Members of Parliament (MPs) who will represent nationwide constituencies.
In this initial phase, a total of 102 constituencies are set to cast their votes, spanning a diverse range of regions from Arunachal Pradesh in the northeast to Rajasthan in the west and from Tamil Nadu in the south to Uttar Pradesh in the north. Additionally, voters in Union Territories such as Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Jammu and Kashmir, and Puducherry will participate in this democratic exercise.
