Saudi Arabia is setting its sights on a significant boost in tourism from India, aiming to attract 7.5 million Indian travelers by 2030. This ambitious goal is part of the kingdom’s Vision 2030 plan, a wide-ranging strategy to diversify its economy and reduce its dependence on oil.

The Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) sees India as a key source market, citing a surge in Indian visitors in 2023. Alhasan Aldabbagh, President of the Asia Pacific region for the STA, highlighted the growing popularity of Saudi Arabia as a destination for Indian tourists, encompassing religious pilgrimage trips, leisure travel, and business ventures.
